- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Pour this mixture into a clean glass jar and tap the jar firmly on the counter to create a flat base layer.
- Add the brown sugar on top of the flour. Use the back of a spoon to press down firmly across the entire surface until it’s compact.
- Follow with a layer of granulated sugar. Next, add the oats, pressing down gently as you add them. Finish by adding the raisins into the jar. Seal the jar tightly.
- Attach the tag to the jar using twine or ribbon.
- The mix can be stored in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment. In a large bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Stir in cookie mix until a thick dough forms. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
- Scoop balls onto the sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers slightly soft. Let cool for at least five minutes.
